KAAT + Shuji Onodera, Company Derashinera
Non-verbal theater by Japanese-Vietnamese talented dancers directed by Shuji Onodera, director of Company Derashinera! During his stay in Vietnam, U saw cars, motorbikes, and people crossing at places other than intersections, and witnessed that they interacted smoothly accidents; this thrilling feeling was selected as the motif of the work. It expresses the "body signals" of physical law and unconscious sense of space, etc. born from the lifestyle of the country.

Linked by fate,
it is normally initially encountered absent-mindedly, albeit gradually, introducing oneself from various angles and imagining about the country of Vietnam.
Following a visit to Vietnam in 2015, in February this year, I had the Vietnamese performers come to Japan to practice, and make a 20-minute presentation in the KAAT lobby.
When practicing together over the 10-day period, they are not just some Vietnamese people, but rather people in a certain world, suddenly creating a fine view. It feels as if anything can be studied, but the shared felling coming from meeting is completely different.
The boundary line between that sense of speed, energy, and self-responsibility felt on the street corners of Hanoi. The people in Vietnam were laughing, but I would like to share that energy. I want to launch it in a different country.
